About the Role

Are you a skilled technical professional looking for a challenging career in transportation maintenance? Alstom is seeking a full-time Technical Team Member to join our team in Wembley, London.

Salary & Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of around £55,000 + 18% shift allowance per annum, making it one of the highest paying roles in the industry. In addition to your base salary, you will also receive a range of benefits, including company vehicle use, depot cleaning and housekeeping responsibilities.

As a key member of our services team, you will work alongside experienced professionals to ensure the fleet is serviced and maintained in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to the depot teams in fault-finding and assistance with train repair and maintenance.
  • Gather data downloads on critical performance systems at all Traincare Centres.
  • Undertake test runs to assist in fault finding and resolution of faults.
  • Position fault data into shared drive facility.
  • Carry out fault finding and investigate intermittent faults on vehicles.
  • Functionally test train borne systems with minimal supervision.
  • Review and rectify test specifications and documentation for functional tests.
  • Provide on train fault diagnosis/rectification for units in service.
  • Liaise with ESG and specialist engineers as necessary.
Requirements
  • Time served apprenticeship or equivalent with associated technical qualifications (ONC/HNC/City & Guilds).
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Technical skills and IT skills.
