Railway Infrastructure Maintenance Specialist, Carlisle

About the RoleThis role involves undertaking scheduled maintenance activities in our major depot. You will be responsible for both electrical and mechanical repairs on locomotives and rolling stock, as well as performing assessment and test procedures to ensure our rail freight assets and components meet required levels.
You will also maintain necessary knowledge to operate safely and effectively in a railway environment, work within boundaries of all relevant company policies, and possess comprehensive understanding of maintenance documentation.
Key Responsibilities- Undertake scheduled maintenance activities in the major depot.
- Perform both electrical and mechanical repairs on locomotives and rolling stock.
- Maintain necessary knowledge to operate safely and effectively in a railway environment.
- Work within boundaries of all relevant company policies.
- NVQ level 3 in relevant engineering discipline.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
