About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join our CAMHS team in Kirklees. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality mental health services to children and young people in the Kirklees area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions to children and young people with mild to moderate mental health conditions.
  • Work collaboratively with schools and other agencies to provide a whole-school approach to mental health support.
  • Develop and maintain therapeutic relationships with children, young people, and their families.
  • Provide supervision and training to junior staff within the team.
  • Contribute to the development of the MHST service and identify opportunities for improvement.
Requirements
  • Relevant professional qualification, nursing, or other professional allied to medicine.
  • Post-qualification training in identified portfolio, LD, LAC, eating disorder.
  • Dip SW or relevant mental health profession.
  • A teaching and assessing qualification.
  • Membership of professional body.
