Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Services Specialist to join our team at Matchtech. As a key member of our Technical Services team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective delivery of Technical Services problem resolution service outputs at strategic and tactical levels.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating, developing, and producing technical solutions to enable defects and damage to be rectified to an officially recognised standard. This will involve working closely with Design Organisations, OEMs, Maintenance Tasking & Verification, Part 145 organisation(s), Reliability & Maintenance Programmes, and other key stakeholders to deliver the required standards of Continuing Airworthiness and contract delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement technical solutions to rectify defects and damage to aircraft.
  • Work with Design Organisations and OEMs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance Tasking & Verification and Part 145 organisation(s) to ensure effective maintenance and repair of aircraft.
  • Identify trends and make recommendations for amendments to the Operator Maintenance Programme.
  • Review and report on the effectiveness of Technical Enquiry management, including feedback to Design Organisations and Suppliers.

Essential Skills:

  • Minimum of a recognised qualification to NVQ3/ONC level in a relevant Technical discipline, or Part 66 Category A qualified, or suitable equivalent.
  • Recent in-depth experience in a Maintenance & Support environment of a military aircraft, including direct experience of supporting or maintaining fleets of aircraft.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to translate data into information and establish continuing airworthy cost-effective solutions.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently when required.
