We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Performance Advisor to join our team at Essex County Council. As a key member of our Corporate Leadership Team, you will play a critical role in driving performance and improvement across our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert technical advice on performance assessment and analysis to senior colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement complex projects to improve performance and drive business decisions.
  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality analysis and insights that inform business strategy.
  • Support strategic reporting and deep-dives into key issues, providing actionable recommendations to senior leaders.
  • Ensure performance management information is timely, robust, and used to strengthen accountability across the organization.
  • Develop 'self-serve' capabilities to enable data access for colleagues.
Requirements
  • Education to degree level or equivalent by experience.
  • Continuing professional development and expert knowledge in relevant professional area.
  • Significant experience in delivering high-quality, complex data interpretation and analysis that impacts strategic decision-making.
  • Extensive experience of carrying out complex projects that have made tangible improvements and identified opportunities for data and analytics to solve business problems.
  • Knowledge of governance requirements around quantitative and qualitative research methodology, including the Data Protection Act.
  • Experience of leading teams within a matrix-management approach.
