Job Title: HGV Fitter

Job Description:

At Norse Commercial Services Limited, we are seeking a skilled Workshop Fitter to join our team in Havant. As a Workshop Fitter, you will be responsible for the upkeep of our company fleet of LGV and HGV vehicles, ensuring all vehicles are serviced, maintained, and repaired in accordance with Operators Licence requirements. You will also prepare vehicles for annual tests, road test vehicles to certify roadworthiness, and attend breakdowns on a rota system.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on LGV and HGV vehicles.
  • Prepare vehicles for annual tests and road test vehicles to certify roadworthiness.
  • Attend breakdowns on a rota system.
  • Work closely with the team to ensure all vehicles are serviced and maintained to the highest standard.

Requirements:
  • City & Guilds Part 3 in motor vehicles studies or equivalent.
  • Category C+E Driving Licence.
  • Knowledge of vehicle maintenance standards required for HGV operation.
  • Working knowledge of Health and Safety and its impact in vehicle repair operations.
  • Experience in the inspection, repair, and maintenance of all types of large and small commercial vehicles.
