About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team at GreenSquareAccord, working 25 hours per week. Our care and support services provide packages to older adults, including those with dementia across various assisted living services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build strong relationships with customers, fostering open and two-way communication.
  • Support customers in undertaking their daily routines, promoting independence and dignity.
  • Establish effective methods of communication with customers, addressing barriers when necessary.
  • Accurately report and/or record work activities, maintaining accurate records.
  • Support customers with activities of daily living and personal care, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Assist customers with mealtimes, promoting a safe and enjoyable dining experience.
Requirements
  • Experience working within a care environment (advantageous but not essential, as full induction training will be provided).
  • A warm and friendly manner, patience, kindness, and good communication skills.
  • A willingness to help others, requiring patience and empathy.
  • An open and honest character, respectful and celebratory of diversity.
  • The ability to be a natural caregiver and communicate effectively with colleagues, residents, and their visitors.
