Children's Home Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead our children's home, providing high-quality care and support to young people with learning disabilities. As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the home, ensuring the safety and well-being of each child, and promoting their independence and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the care and support of young people with learning disabilities, ensuring their needs are met and their rights are respected.
- Lead a team of skilled staff, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure they are equipped to provide high-quality care.
- Develop and implement care plans, working closely with social workers, family members, and other stakeholders to ensure the best possible outcomes for the children.
- Ensure the home is a safe and welcoming environment, promoting a culture of respect, empathy, and understanding.
- Manage referrals, matching, and other administrative tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of the home.
- Collaborate with other professionals, including social workers, therapists, and healthcare professionals, to ensure the children receive comprehensive support.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of care, making adjustments as needed to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience working in a residential children's setting, preferably with learning disabilities.
- Experience in managing a team, providing guidance, and supporting staff development.
- Knowledge of safeguarding processes and policies, with a commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of children.
- Ability to work on call, with a flexible approach to meet the needs of the children and the home.
- Hold a Level 5 Health and Social Care Management and Leadership qualification, with a desire to continue professional development.
