Key Responsibilities- Provide design and development direction on all aspects of our Wind Tunnel models, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
- Ensure that standard design practices are adhered to for all drawings issued within the aerodynamics department, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in our design practices, implement changes, and monitor progress to ensure that we are always pushing the boundaries of innovation.
- Report regularly to the Lead Aerodynamics Design Engineers on the progress of all projects, providing clear and concise updates on our work.
- Maintain a good working knowledge of essential CAD packages and related software, as well as company-wide software, to ensure that we are always up-to-date with the latest technologies.
- Assist in identifying ways to improve department performance, working closely with our team to implement changes and drive results.
- Maintain positive relationships with all other factory departments, ensuring that we are always working collaboratively and effectively as a team.
- Follow, implement, and ensure adherence to the company's health and safety policy, maintaining a safe and healthy working environment for all employees.
- Maintain high standards of staff and department presentation, ensuring that our facility is always a showcase for our company's values and commitment to excellence.
- Take ownership of projects, including design, test planning, and final release stages, working closely with our team to deliver high-quality results.
- Mentor less experienced designers and graduate designers, providing guidance and support to help them develop their skills and knowledge.
- Assist in the recruitment of new staff, working closely with our HR team to identify and attract top talent.
