About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Adult Support Mentor to join our Learning Support Team at Keighley College. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to achieve their goals and become independent.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of students with SEND, providing individualized support and guidance to ensure their academic and personal success.
  • Collaborate with schools, parents, and other partners to facilitate a smooth transition for students with SEND into, through, and out of Keighley College.
  • Deliver direct support within the classroom, working closely with teachers and other support staff to ensure students receive the best possible support.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of support provided, progress made, and interventions needed for students with SEND.
  • Complete medical plans, PEEPs, and risk assessments as required.
  • Attend regular meetings with the SEND team, cross-college, and external partners to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to stay up-to-date with best practices and disseminate knowledge within the team.
  • Utilize computer literacy skills to maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
