About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Children's Caseworker to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for managing complex caseloads, supporting Team Managers, and promoting excellence within the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and analyse information to complete clear, accurate, and holistic professional assessments of need and risk.
- Critically evaluate all relevant information to promote and safeguard the wellbeing and interests of children and young people.
- Liaise and work with other professionals and agencies to achieve optimal outcomes for children and young people.
- Built positive relationships with children and their families through promoting participation and undertaking direct work.
- Update and maintain high-quality case files in our management information system, ensuring all key information about the child's circumstances and plans are recorded within timescales.
- Take personal responsibility for own professional development and reflective practice, keeping up to date with changes to legislation, court rules, policies, procedures, and best practice development.
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years' experience working with vulnerable children and young people.
- Proven ability to manage complex caseloads and support Team Managers.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other professionals and agencies.
