Sanctuary Personnel Ltd, a dedicated recruitment agency, is seeking a permanent Senior Practitioner for the Children with Disabilities Team to work full-time in Luton.

About the Role

The salary for this permanent position is up to £41,496 per annum.

This challenging role involves managing a complex caseload of children at risk and those subject to care proceedings and child protection plans. The successful candidate will make a positive difference for children, young people, and families by driving up the quality of practice and partnerships across the town and its services while ensuring legislative requirements are met.

  • Gather information to complete clear, accurate, and holistic professional assessments of need and risk regarding children and families.
  • Critically analyze relevant information and take the lead role to coordinate a multi-agency approach to promote and safeguard the wellbeing and interests of children/young people.
  • Liaise with other professionals and agencies to achieve optimal outcomes for children and young people.
  • Build positive relationships with children and their families through promoting participation and undertaking direct work to ensure their voices, wishes, and feelings are heard.
  • Provide witness statements for court when required, accountable to internal/external agencies in line with Luton Borough Council Policies and Procedures.
