Job Description
ThinkForward Careers is a charity that supports young people with mild to moderate learning disabilities into employment. We are seeking a freelance Employment and Progression Coach to join our team in Birmingham.
The successful candidate will have a passion for supporting young people to make amazing decisions about their futures, and will be committed to equity, diversity, anti-racist and anti-discriminatory practice. They will also be persistent, empathic and agile in their style of work, with a strong background in youth work or a related field.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver one-to-one and group work sessions to support young people in achieving their career aspirations.
- Develop and implement tailored progression plans for young people, including identifying education and training opportunities.
- Work closely with colleagues to ensure that all young people receive the support they need to succeed.
- Contribute to the development of new programmes and initiatives to support young people with learning disabilities.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A strong background in youth work or a related field.
- Experience of working with young people with learning disabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Confidence in running one-to-one and group work sessions.
Salary and Benefits
The salary for this role is £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience. You will also receive a range of benefits, including access to ongoing training and development opportunities.
