Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Maintenance Assistant to ensure the property is maintained to a high standard. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for carrying out routine maintenance tasks, investigating and resolving issues, and providing excellent customer service.

About the Role

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Managing daily workloads to ensure effective use of resources, including painting, decorating, and gardening;
  • Carrying out maintenance tasks, including preventative maintenance routines in tiling, plumbing, and carpentry;
  • Investigating and resolving process, equipment, instrumentation, and control system issues;
  • Ensuring all maintenance procedures are up to date and all repairs are carried out in a timely manner;
  • Providing assistance and direction to contractors, plumbers, and electricians in rectifying defects or malfunctions in hotel systems;
  • Assisting the team responsible for routine maintenance and upkeep of hotel facilities and services;
  • Interacting with all departments of the hotel to ensure seamless service delivery;
  • Managing and coordinating the delivery of Maintenance Management support services;
  • Ensuring all work is carried out to the highest professional and safety standards.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous hospitality experience is desirable;
  • Safe pass certification is desirable;
  • Qualifications in one or more trades, including painting, gardening, heating, plumbing, and construction, is desirable;
  • Self-motivation and the ability to prioritise work;
  • Standards-driven and detail-oriented approach to work;
  • The ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment;
  • Flexibility regarding working hours;
  • A good command of the English language.
