Occupational Therapist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team at Derbyshire County Council Adult Social Care and Health. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in supporting adults to maximise their independence and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and develop person-centred plans to support adults with physical, learning disabilities, and mental health conditions.
- Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a proportionate, personalised, safe, and sustainable response for local adults, their carers, and families.
- Develop and implement equipment and adaptation solutions to support adults to maintain their independence.
- Manage and prioritise casework, ensuring timely and effective interventions.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with a wide range of partner professionals and agencies.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in adult social care and health.
Requirements:
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) or eligibility for registration.
- Knowledge and experience of working within a person-centred, holistic, and strengths-based approach.
- Experience of assessing and developing plans to support adults with physical, learning disabilities, and mental health conditions.
- Knowledge and experience of equipment and adaptation solutions.
- Ability to manage and prioritise casework, ensuring timely and effective interventions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
