Job Title: Renewable Energy Asset Manager

Nuveen, the investment management arm of TIAA, is seeking a highly skilled Renewable Energy Asset Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Asset Management team, you will be responsible for the commercial and operational performance of renewable energy assets, overseeing all activities and acting as the central contact point for internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Commercial management of a portfolio of renewable energy assets, including development, construction, and operation, across different geographies.
  • Management of Technical and Commercial Management Agreement providers (TCMAs), promoting and enhancing asset performance.
  • Management of main operational contracts, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Coordination and oversight of workstreams within the asset, collaborating with the Fund Finance Team, Head of Revenues, Investment Team, and Divestment Team.
  • Preparation and management of asset budgets, identifying potential breaches or upside.
  • Update of rolling cash forecasts, managing funding of projects in collaboration with the Fund Finance team.
  • Managing and validating monthly closures, invoicing, and payment supervision.
  • Support during annual accounts formulation and audit processes.
  • Management of distributions to investors from the asset perspective.
  • Management of financing agreements, ensuring compliance with undertakings.
  • Support Oversight Tax and manage tax advisors.
  • Oversight asset tax compliance with external contractor support.
  • Support delivery of asset transfer pricing exercises if applicable.
  • Support monthly/quarterly reports: control and analysis of performance against approved budgets and P&L.
  • Support delivery asset management monthly/quarterly pack.
  • Support the development of best-in-class reporting standards.
  • Support the Fund Finance team or Investors Relations team with investor reporting process and ad hoc queries.
  • Oversight and coordination preparation of financial Reporting Use of the portfolio reporting tool to identify asset level performance and up-to-date issues.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years relevant working experience in commercial asset management, asset management, or project management.
  • Offshore experience/knowledge highly valued.
  • Financial knowledge of renewable energy projects.
  • Hybrid interest in commercial and technical aspects of asset management.
  • Financial modelling experience desirable.
  • Relevant experience of power industry required.
  • Fluent English required with additional European languages preferable.
  • Experience with Project finance documentation and interaction desirable.
  • Experience in management accounting, investment review, tax structuring.
