About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager to join our team at Amentum. As a key member of our Non-Nuclear Engineering Partnership (NNEP) framework with AWE, you will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies that deliver best value contracts and ensure the smooth running of contracts for the delivery of materials and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that meet business needs and deliver best value contracts.
  • Manage and coordinate procurement transactions, including tender preparation and negotiation, contract award, and contract management.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and stakeholders to ensure the smooth running of contracts.
  • Provide expert procurement advice and guidance to the business, including make vs buy decisions and commercial activities.
  • Identify and challenge performance issues and non-compliance, and drive out improvement actions and plans to address.

Requirements:

  • Degree in a business, construction, supply chain, or operations management field, or equivalent project experience in lieu of degree.
  • Comprehensive understanding of UK Gov Public Procurement Policy.
  • Knowledge of principles, methods, and practices related to procurement and supply chain management.
  • Strong and successful track record in leading and executing projects within defence, energy, or construction environments.
