Job Description

Role: Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Location: Hybrid / CCS Media's Northern Offices

Salary: Up to £30,000 (DOE) + Career Development

Contract Type: Permanent

We are seeking a skilled Software Quality Assurance Engineer to play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and executing test plans, identifying and troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with development teams to ensure seamless software performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with sales teams, internal and external stakeholders, customers, and development teams to ensure clear and effective communication channels are maintained.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders within the business and externally during testing sessions.
  • Conduct thorough testing of internal software systems, including the externally developed E-Commerce system.
  • Develop and execute test cases, scenarios, and scripts to ensure the reliability, functionality, and usability of software systems.
  • Document and report on identified defects and work closely with the development team to resolve and retest the issues in a timely manner.
  • Support the planning and coordination of testing activities for software projects, ensuring project timelines and objectives are adhered to.
  • Engage with business stakeholders to gather feedback, requirements, and suggestions for improvements within internally developed software systems and external software products, where appropriate.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on QA findings to drive continuous improvement and optimize the user experience.
  • Deliver and support the ongoing training of users of software products within the business.
