We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Health and Care Tutor to join our team at DT Resourcing Ltd. As a Health and Care Tutor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to our learners, ensuring they achieve their full potential and reach their goals.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons at levels Entry 3 and Level 1 for Health and Care
- Create effective schemes of work that support the learning process of individuals and contribute to the company's development and implementation of these schemes
- Prepare and develop innovative lesson plans, designing and delivering group activities that provide a reasonable level of challenge for all learners
- Diagnose learners' literacy, numeracy, and ICT needs and requirements using various diagnostic testing and mock tests
- Differentiate lesson plans and resources in line with learner needs as outlined in EHCP documents or through observations
- Consider enrichment projects that support the learning of your learners
- Make use of current technology to enhance teaching, learning, and information retention
- Provide 1:1 support to learners where necessary, utilizing available LSA support during lessons
- Provide appropriate encouragement, guidance, and support to learners to help them progress
- Manage any behavior issues that arise in line with client policy, with support from the Centre Manager
- Prepare and submit up-to-date assessments of learners
- Manage LSA deployment during lessons, ensuring all learners are supported and their work is completed to an appropriate standard
- Qualified to PTLLS/CTLLS (or equivalent)
- Assessor qualification and experienced
- GCSE (or equivalent L2 Functional skills) in English and maths at grade C/4 or above
- Qualified to PTLLS/DTLLS/Cert Ed/PGCE (or equivalent) desirable
- Health and Social Care qualification up L3 and above
- Annual leave up to 25 days plus 8 public Bank Holidays
- Christmas and New Year shutdown period with additional 3 days of leave at full pay
