Job Title: Nursery Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant team at GSL Education.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will assist the nursery staff in providing high-quality care and education to children aged 0-5 years. This will involve supporting the planning and delivery of engaging activities that promote learning, creativity, and social interaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Assist the nursery staff in creating a safe, clean, and welcoming environment where children can learn and thrive.
  2. Support the planning and delivery of engaging activities that promote learning, creativity, and social interaction.
  3. Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to foster a supportive and inclusive atmosphere.
  4. Assist with daily routines, including meal times, toileting, and outdoor play, ensuring the well-being and happiness of all children.
  5. Contribute to observations and assessments of children's development, helping to monitor progress and plan next steps.
Requirements:
  • Level 2 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent is desirable.
  • Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting is desirable.
  • Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and its principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a warm and caring approach to working with children.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues to deliver high-quality care and education.
