Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced professional to lead our Hygiene Team and drive improvement in factory and office hygiene standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the team, ensuring adequate resource coverage, implementing hygiene strategies, mentoring staff, and maintaining records.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and recruit a team of 5 hygiene specialists working night shifts.
  • Maintain sufficient hygiene resources across departments and shifts, ensuring cover for holidays and absences.
  • Drive improvements in factory and office hygiene standards, as well as team performance and efficiency.
  • Develop and implement a hygiene improvement plan and strategy for the next 12 months.
  • Lead and mentor the Hygiene Team, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Own Hygiene Team training and development, including H&S, food safety, and cleaning procedures.
  • Ensure all hygiene-related records are completed and up-to-date.
  • Support the Technical Department in preparing cleaning schedules, strip-off procedures, and chemical dilution checks.
  • Manage hygiene equipment, consumables, and chemicals, ensuring proper storage and usage.

Requirements:

  • COSHH, Food Safety Level 2, and HACCP Level 2 qualifications.
  • Significant experience in hygiene supervision or management within the food manufacturing industry, preferably high care or high risk.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
