Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Care Team Lead to join our team at Independent Living Solutions Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the care team and ensuring that our client, Elijah, receives high-quality, timely care.

About the Role

The Care Team Lead will be responsible for managing the care team, monitoring their competence, updating care plans, and ensuring that Elijah's care needs are met. The role will also involve finding cover for absences, being on call for staff shortages, providing general support to the care team, and leading by example.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the care team, including recruitment, training, and supervision
  • Monitor the care team's competence and provide feedback and coaching as needed
  • Update care plans to reflect changes in Elijah's needs and preferences
  • Ensure that Elijah's care needs are met, including PEG feeding, suctioning, medication administration, and supporting his mobility via hoisting
  • Finding cover for absences and being on call for staff shortages
  • Providing general support to the care team and leading by example

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working with children with complex care needs
  • Experience of managing a care team and supervising staff
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of care planning and documentation
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is £25-£30 per hour, dependant on experience. Other benefits include:
