Senior Finance Director

Greenwell Gleeson is seeking a Group Finance Director to support the business in its next chapter of growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong finance background and be able to strategically support the business in achieving its long-term goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop a finance function that is best in class, with rigorous and timely reporting to support all aspects of the business.
  2. Establish and maintain robust internal controls and procedures across the sites.
  3. Shape the suite of reports that drive commercial decision-making processes, with a focus on complex pricing decisions.
  4. Optimise IT capability to support business growth.
  5. Manage overall cash position and treasury activities, including foreign exchange.
  6. Work with the Executive team to drive the strategic direction of the business, including M&A activities.
Requirements:
  1. Hold a recognised accountancy qualification with at least 5 years PQE.
  2. Experience of working in the lead finance role within an SME or Division of a larger group.
  3. Provide a demonstrable track record of delivering excellent control and reporting frameworks.
  4. Provide a demonstrable track record of supporting the commercial decision-making process, ultimately driving profit & cash optimisation.
  5. Experience of working in a multi-site acquisitive environment is highly desirable.

  1. Demonstrate a 'can do' attitude, with the ability to bring issues/challenges to a conclusion and make decisions.
  2. Straightforward and able to take responsibility as a matter of course.
  3. Intuitively able to comprehend business needs and take appropriate decisions to drive business growth and improvement.
  4. Hands-on with an eye for detail, but able to appreciate the bigger picture.
  5. Adaptable character, strong enough to challenge while at the same time able to build long-term relationships with management and group.
