Job Title: Chief Financial Director

Lord Accounting & Finance is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Financial Director to lead our financial strategy and planning. As a key member of our senior executive team, you will be responsible for driving our financial growth and stability, while playing a crucial role in structuring the business for sale and supporting the sales process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement financial plans and strategies to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Lead a dedicated team of financial professionals to ensure the company's financial health and stability.
  • Collaborate with the Managing Director to drive the company's financial strategy and planning.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting principles.
  • Support the sales process by providing financial insights and analysis.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Finance Director or similar role in a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of corporate finance, accounting principles, and financial regulations.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Proficiency in financial management software and MS Office.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent.
  • Experience in financial modelling and forecasting.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in managing financial operations in an engineering company, ideally high-volume machined components; experience of supplying distributors is advantageous but not essential.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific financial challenges and opportunities.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial software implementation.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
