Your new company
Hays Senior Finance are working with a large, reputable organisation as they look to recruit a new Financial Accountant on a permanent basis.

Your new role
Working as part of their UK Centre of Excellent financial accounting team, you will be required to support the Financial Controller across a range of areas including management accounting, lease accounting, intercompany accounting and much more.

  • Preparation of management accounts and analysing variances
  • Preparation of budget and forecast information
  • Month-end reporting including journals and reconciliations
  • Maintain intercompany loans and assist with the monthly intercompany reconciliation process
  • Assist with the preparation of annual corporation tax packs for multiple companies
  • Preparation of analysis and reports for various other finance departments
  • Preparation of data for ONS
  • Support and act as a mentor for the Assistant Accountant

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) - first time movers from practice considered
  • Technically sound with an excellent understanding of day-to-day accounting processes and procedures, ideally in a large company setting
  • Analytically minded with the ability to look at and handle large data sets
  • Comfortable embracing change in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to communicate and influence at all levels
  • Strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables, LookUps, Formulas etc.) and working knowledge of finance packages (Oracle an advantage)
