About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning and Analysis Manager to join our team at Reed. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for leading the preparation and consolidation of forecasts, budgets, and long-range plans, as well as the analysis of the company's actual results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Planning and Analysis
    • Produce financial statements, including P&L, Cash Flow, Balance Sheet, and variance analysis.
    • Manage the production of Management and Statutory accounts.
    • Update consolidation packages for the Monthly accounts.
  • Financial Reporting
    • Conduct Financial reporting, including general ledger master data, statutory reporting, IFRS reporting, and ensuring compliance with J-SOX.
    • File year-end accounts and Corporation Tax returns, ensuring HMRC compliance.
  • Financial Control and Analysis
    • Support the month-end close process, including prepayments, accruals, and detailed reconciliations.
    • Monitor income and expenditure, ensuring alignment with budgets and strong financial control.
  • Process Improvement
    • Recommend and implement process improvements to streamline procedures.
    • Manage inventory and fixed assets.
    • Develop and improve Finance systems and processes.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Serve as the contact person for controlling-related queries.
    • Assist with the preparation of budget & forecast schedules and conduct variance analysis.
    • Prepare strategic analyses and reports for regional headquarters.
Requirements
  • Part Qualified/Qualified CIMA/ACCA or equivalent, or QBE with experience in group structure reporting.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office packages, particularly Excel.
  • Proficient in management accounting tools (budgeting, business planning, forecasting, reporting, variance analysis).
  • Experience with controlling systems such as ERP, SAP, Navision.
  • Knowledge of relevant accounting and tax regulations, IFRS, and J-SOX.
