Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Teacher of History to join our team at USP College. As a key member of our Humanities department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons, inspiring students to achieve their full potential, and contributing to the development of our curriculum.

As a passionate advocate for History education, you will have a deep understanding of the subject and be able to convey your enthusiasm to students. You will work closely with colleagues to ensure that our students receive a well-rounded education, and that they are equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in their future careers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons that meet the needs of all students
  • Assess and provide feedback on student work, using a range of assessment methods
  • Contribute to the development of our curriculum, including the design and implementation of new courses and programs
  • Work with colleagues to ensure that our students receive a comprehensive education, including extracurricular activities and enrichment programs
  • Monitor and report on student progress, using data to inform teaching and learning
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of our school community
Requirements:
  • Relevant degree in History or a related subject
  • Proven teaching experience, with a strong track record of student achievement
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and parents
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development, with a desire to stay up-to-date with best practices in History education
