Job Title: Senior Investment Associate

Job Description:

Legal & General is seeking a Senior Investment Associate to support the growth of its Alternative Debt team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for supporting the origination and execution of investment opportunities in structured finance and other esoteric asset classes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in building relationships with market counterparties to access a broad pool of investment opportunities.
  2. Support the team in due diligence, credit and investment assessment, and investment paper submissions to the Private Credit Investment Committee.
  3. Negotiate and execute transactions in line with client requirements to obtain best value.
  4. Provide transaction booking support and subsequent reporting and asset management requirements.
  5. Support the externalisation of client funds through the growth of the short dated private credit fund and other segregated mandates.

Requirements:

  1. Collaborative approach to working with team members and independently when required.
  2. Flexible and outcome-oriented with the ability to work on a variety of initiatives and investment opportunities.
  3. Good communication skills, both verbal and written, with experience of writing and presenting information.
  4. Organised and self-motivated with diligence and accuracy in terms of data analysis and written reporting.
  5. Knowledge and experience of credit risk and structured finance products.
