Soft Matter Scientist Industrial Placement

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our team as a Soft Matter Scientist Industrial Placement. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative environment, contributing to cutting-edge research in soft matter science.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct research in soft matter science, working closely with our team of experts to advance our understanding of complex materials and systems.
- Develop and implement new experimental techniques and methods to investigate the behavior of soft matter systems.
- Collaborate with colleagues from diverse backgrounds to design and execute experiments, analyze data, and interpret results.
- Present research findings through oral and written reports, and contribute to the development of research papers and publications.
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program and returning to university/studies to complete your undergraduate degree following the placement.
- Required or have requested to take an industrial placement year.
- Have the right to live and work in the UK for the duration of the placement.
- Able to commence employment in summer 2025.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
- Enthusiasm for learning new scientific principles and new experimental techniques.
- Effective problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to perform or learn how to perform practical experiments.
