Senior Speech Therapist Leader Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Speech Therapist Leader to join our team at Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing professional leadership to Speech and Language Therapists and management of Trust Speech and Language Therapy services.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in speech and language therapy, with experience in clinical leadership and team management. You should be HCPC registered and possess a Master's degree or equivalent experience. Additionally, you should have significant and relevant post-qualification experience, with a strong focus on clinical leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional leadership to Speech and Language Therapists.
  • Develop and implement business plans to improve the quality of clinical services.
  • Manage the recruitment, retention, and development of Speech and Language Therapists.
  • Ensure the efficient allocation and reallocation of workload for the team.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness and quality of clinical services.
