Support Worker for Learning Disabilities

As a Support Worker for Learning Disabilities, you will be a key member of our team, providing essential care and support to service users based on their individual care plans. You will work independently, ensuring that CrossReach's high standards are met.
Your role will involve helping with daily tasks, supporting service users in their work, leisure, and educational activities, and ensuring their safety and well-being. You will be responsible for creating and implementing support plans, conducting risk assessments, and handling emergencies.
Effective communication and the ability to handle challenging situations are crucial for promoting social inclusion and protecting service users. You will need to stay updated on social care developments, attend training sessions, and keep a personal development portfolio.

Key Responsibilities- Provide essential care and support to service users based on their individual care plans
- Help with daily tasks and support service users in their work, leisure, and educational activities
- Ensure the safety and well-being of service users
- Create and implement support plans, conduct risk assessments, and handle emergencies
- Stay updated on social care developments, attend training sessions, and keep a personal development portfolio
- SVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent
- Experience in the caring field
- Basic computer skills
- Membership in the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and registration with the SSSC
