Job Description:

Teaching Assistant Position

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our SEND department at The Mews School.

The successful candidate will work closely with our experienced teaching staff to provide support to students with special educational needs, promoting their academic and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in the classroom, supporting students with their learning and behaviour.
  • Help to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support students with their personal and social needs, including managing challenging behaviour.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with students, parents and staff.

Requirements:

  • Experience of working with children with special educational needs.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and maintain confidentiality.
  • Punctuality, flexibility and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
