£21,720 per annum, paid weekly or monthly depending on your preference.
Job Description
As a Teaching Assistant at The Mews School, you will play a vital role in supporting our students with behavioral challenges to achieve their academic and personal goals. You will work closely with our experienced teaching team to create a safe and supportive learning environment that promotes positive behavior and encourages our students to reach their full potential.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A passion for working with young people and a commitment to providing high-quality support
- An understanding of the challenges faced by young people with behavioral challenges and a willingness to develop your skills and knowledge in this area
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers
- Patience, empathy, and a non-judgmental approach, with a focus on promoting positive behavior and well-being
- The ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing circumstances, including dealing with challenging behaviors and crisis situations
- Basic IT skills, including the ability to use digital tools to support student learning and development
