Senior Public Health Role

Remedy Recruitment Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead on improving the health and wellbeing of residents in Cambridgeshire.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Director of Public Health and other consultant colleagues to develop and implement strategies to improve health and wellbeing outcomes for older people, people with learning disabilities, and public mental health.
  • Lead on commissioning and working with partner organisations to improve health and wellbeing outcomes.
  • Provide specialist public health input to the work of the Adult Social Care Directorate and associated commissioning.
  • Develop and implement innovative models and evaluation to improve health and wellbeing outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Senior leadership experience in public health or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of public health policy and practice.
  • Ability to work at a population level and develop strategies to improve health and wellbeing outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.

About the Role:

This is a senior role in the local health and wellbeing community, working as part of a Public Health team and system committed to improving health and wellbeing in Cambridgeshire.

The postholder will act as a change agent to enable delivery of relevant outcome indicators from the public health, NHS, and social care outcome frameworks.

The role will require working across organisations, influencing budgets, and advocating for change to improve population and planetary health.
