Remedy Recruitment Group Ltd/ TA Remedy Medical Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Public Health team in improving the health and wellbeing of our residents.

About the Role

This is a senior role that requires a strong understanding of public health principles and practices, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills. The postholder will work closely with the Director of Public Health and other consultant colleagues to develop and implement strategies to improve health and wellbeing outcomes for older people, people with learning disabilities, and the wider population.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of public health strategies to improve health and wellbeing outcomes for our residents.
  • Work closely with the Director of Public Health and other consultant colleagues to develop and implement strategies to improve health and wellbeing outcomes for older people, people with learning disabilities, and the wider population.
  • Provide specialist public health input to the work of the Adult Social Care Directorate and associated commissioning, including research evidence, innovative models, and evaluation.
  • Commission and work with partner organisations to improve health and wellbeing outcomes.
  • Lead on improving public mental health and preventing mental ill health.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of public health principles and practices.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Experience of working in a public health role, preferably in a local authority setting.
  • Ability to work at a population level and develop strategies to improve health and wellbeing outcomes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
