Job Title: Research Grants Officer

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Research Grants Officer to join our team at The Brain Tumour Charity. As a key member of our Research team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the effective delivery of our Research Strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with all aspects of pre and post award grant management, ensuring timely and accurate processing of grants.
  • Support the Research team in implementing our strategic goals and research strategy, including undertaking research-related projects as requested by the Chief Scientific Officer.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of our research management database, ensuring it remains an accurate and up-to-date resource for future grant rounds and regular reporting.
  • Administer grant applications, monitoring, and review processes, including liaison with researchers and assessment panels.
  • Monitor grant progress through review of annual reports and regular engagement with funded researchers.
  • Perform financial monitoring of awarded grants and maintain accurate records of expenditure.
  • Respond to enquiries about our funded research, research strategy, and calls for applications from researchers, the general public, and colleagues within the Charity.
  • Ensure the scientific accuracy of internal and external communications around the research programme.
Requirements:
  • A degree in a life science or medical discipline.
  • Proven experience of working with databases and spreadsheets.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications.
What We Offer:

We offer a competitive salary of £31,200 (dependent on level) and a blend of office and home working, with an average of 2-3 days in the office each week. You will be joining a collaborative, bold, and innovative team of individuals who put our community first and are connected by a passion to make a real difference.
