Job Summary:

Jameson Legal is seeking a highly skilled Compliance and Risk Management Specialist to join our team in Bristol or Southampton. As a key member of our risk and compliance team, you will play a crucial role in managing the impact of technological change within the firm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Strategy and Governance: Develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy, ensuring the firm's data is secure, compliant, and aligned with industry best practices.
  • Risk Assessment and Management: Conduct thorough risk assessments, identifying potential threats and developing strategies to mitigate them.
  • Tender Responses and Contract Management: Provide expert advice on tender responses, contracts, and business terms, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Breach and Incident Management: Develop and implement procedures for managing breaches and incidents, minimizing their impact on the firm.
  • Supplier Management: Oversee supplier relationships, ensuring they meet the firm's and client's requirements regarding commercial risk, business continuity, cyber and information security, modern slavery, and ESG goals.
  • Compliance Advice: Provide guidance on client tenders, data protection, FOI, intellectual property, indemnities, retainer letters, terms of business, and supply contracts.
  • SRA Code of Conduct: Ensure compliance with the SRA Code of Conduct, managing data and commercial risk issues.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with senior members of the firm and the Digital Data & Technology team to deliver the firm's data strategy and procurement objectives.
