Social Care Support Role

Brook Street Social Care NMR is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team. As a Support Worker, you will be working within a hostel setting and, depending on the assignment, out in the community. Your role will involve supporting individuals at risk of homelessness, those suffering with mental health, those struggling with substance misuse, or ex-offenders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing emotional support and helping individuals apply for housing benefits
  • Ensuring the safety of clients, staff, and yourself
  • Working within a team to deliver high-quality support services

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with vulnerable people in a similar setting
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing circumstances
  • Compassion, empathy, and a non-judgmental approach
