At Ubiquity Press, we are seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our team in London. This full-time position offers a competitive salary of £55,000 - £65,000 per annum.

Job Description

We are looking for someone with broad technical skills who genuinely wants to have an impact on the world. You will work on a range of projects and be involved in all stages of the software lifecycle from design through development, testing and deployment to maintenance. Our systems enable universities and researchers to take control of publishing, and make research information available to the widest possible audience.

  • We require a Computer Science degree or equivalent skills and experience.
  • You should have a solid grounding in UNIX/Linux.
  • A good understanding of HTML, CSS, JS is also necessary.
Technical Requirements
  • You should have strong capabilities with Python.
  • Experience with test-driven development and unit testing is also required.
  • A good understanding of database design and SQL skills are also necessary.
