The Role: A skilled, creative, and self-motivated professional is required to join a forward-thinking Design Technology Department. The department offers Product Design, Food & Nutrition, and Textiles. This vacancy requires a Resistant Materials specialist.

This is a full-time position, but part-time hours will be considered for the right candidate.

About the School: A reputable school in Luton known for its great academic outcomes, arts excellence, and sporting successes. The Sixth Form is one of the top-performing colleges locally, consistently providing outstanding teaching to students from Year 7 to 13.

Contract: This would be a long-term contract starting as soon as possible and continuing until July 2025. You will be treated like a permanent member of staff with access to all CPD opportunities as well as PPA time included on your timetable. You would be paid £35,000 - £60,000 per year on the National Teacher Pay Scale salary.

Requirements: QTS or PGCE Qualification, Design Technology specialist with at least 1 year of experience teaching up to KS4, Highly knowledgeable in GCSE DT curriculum, Passionate about teaching DT and promoting learning in DT for excellent results, Good or Outstanding classroom practice with high expectations for achievements and behaviour, Ability to plan and deliver creative and stimulating DT lessons.
