About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Branded Content Strategist. As a key member of our commercial operations team, you will play a critical role in developing and executing our customer value proposition and providing strategic support to our commercial and distribution activities.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Thought Leadership and Centre of Excellence: Act as a thought leader and create a centre of excellence to ensure all bids, tenders, and presentations support our commercial ambitions and provide the best opportunity for success.
  2. Bid/Tender/Presentation Management: Own the bid/tender/presentation process and manage the pipeline of new and renewing tenders to ensure we meet and exceed our sales conversion and renewal targets.
  3. Commercial Opportunity Management: Ensure the robust management of all agreed commercial opportunities, working collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure client needs are met and the Bupa value proposition is effectively articulated.
  4. Commercial Negotiations and Pitches: Support commercial negotiations and pitches, working closely with commercial teams to translate the broader brand proposition and deliver the agreed brand and customer experience.
  5. Team Leadership and Content Management: Lead the team in the timely delivery of work and content, including writing bespoke content to meet clients' needs, managing the process, and working with experts to ensure the latest insights and innovations from Bupa are brought to life.
  6. Accountability and Growth: Be accountable for supporting growth across UK Insurance and Clinics in new business, revenue, and conversion of new opportunities to concluded deals, ensuring opportunities to cross-sell and present an integrated Bupa proposition are maximised.
  7. Supplier Questionnaires and Due Diligence: Lead and own all supplier questionnaires and due diligence for UKI and Clinics B2B customers.
  8. User Experience and Feedback: Monitor user experience and feedback to improve future communications and events to improve their effectiveness and efficiency.
  9. Implementation of Successful Outcomes: Support the implementation of successful outcomes of bids and tenders, using expertise from within products and propositions teams and the wider commercial organisation.
  10. Operational Capacity and Risk Appetite: Obtain collective agreement with stakeholders on operational capacity and risk appetite for new bids and tenders, and proactively identify any additional support required.
  11. Relationship Management and Strategic Engagement: Support sales colleagues in the ongoing relationship management of agreed existing clients through the customer lifecycle, including account reviews, growth opportunities, and strategic engagements.
  12. Nurturing Commercial Opportunities: Work closely with sales colleagues on the nurturing of future commercial opportunities through the SAS program.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  1. Previous Experience in Tender Writing: Previous experience as a tender writer in a financial services/healthcare environment with experience of working with intermediaries and corporate clients within a regulated environment is a must.
  2. Tender Writing Experience: Must have tender writing experience.
  3. Programme and Project Management Skills: Strong programme and project management skills combined with execution focus.
  4. Analytical and Numerical Skills: Proven analytical and numerical skills with the ability to assimilate and analyse information and data from a variety of sources and use this to plan effectively to ensure objectives are met.
  5. PC Literacy and Communication Skills: PC literate and the ability to communicate messages effectively via a range of Microsoft packages (PowerPoint, Excel, Word etc.). Fully conversant in using Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
  6. Leadership and Coaching Skills: Strong leadership and coaching skills with the drive and commitment to build, lead, and inspire a high-calibre, motivated team.
  7. Relationship Management: Strong relationship management with experience of liaising with external partners, third-party suppliers' key decision makers, and internal stakeholder relationships.
