Pre-Sample Preparation Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pre-Sample Preparation Technician to join our team at Labcorp in Harrogate, North Yorkshire. As a key member of our animal house team, you will play a vital role in preparing samples for research and development purposes.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare sample tracking forms for studies to be performed within the unit.
- Perform a range of sample preparation tasks, including centrifugation, pipetting, and addition of reagents.
- Handle incoming samples from Animal House Operations, Necropsy, and Pharmacology.
- Ensure all work is conducted in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, including GLP regulations.
- Exercise judgment in resolving discrepancies with incoming samples and communicate effectively with team members.
- Adapt techniques to new procedures and plan individual workload to meet deadlines.
- Schedule multiple assigned tasks and demonstrate effective communication skills with team members and stakeholders.
- Demonstrate knowledge and use of data systems, including Nautilus and CMS.
- Hold a minimum of 5 GCSEs A*-C, including English and Maths.
- Have previous practical laboratory experience in a similar environment.
- Have good communication skills and ability to work within company procedures.
- Be able to utilise word processing, databases, spreadsheets, and specialised software on personal computers.
