About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pre-Sample Preparation Technician to join our team at Labcorp. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for preparing samples for analysis, ensuring accurate and efficient results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare sample tracking forms for studies to be performed within the unit.
  • Perform sample preparation tasks, including centrifugation, pipetting, and addition of reagents.
  • Handle incoming samples from Animal House Operations, Necropsy, and Pharmacology.
  • Conduct all work in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, including GLP.
  • Exercise judgment in the receipt of samples where discrepancies have occurred.
  • Adapt techniques to new procedures.
  • Plan individual workload in collaboration with team members to meet deadlines.
  • Schedule multiple assigned tasks effectively.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and use of data systems, including Nautilus and CMS.
  • Communicate effectively with Technical Leads, Supervisors, Study Directors, and other members of staff.
Requirements
  • Hold a minimum of 5 GCSEs A*-C, including English and Maths.
  • Ideal experience in a similar laboratory environment.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work within company procedures.
  • Ability to utilize word processing, databases, spreadsheets, and specialized software on personal computers.
