Job Description

MLP Wealth Management is a leading financial services firm that provides expert advice and guidance to individuals and businesses. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paraplanner to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing vital support to our team of wealth advisers, researching products and financial planning solutions, preparing recommendation reports for client meetings, and writing suitability reports and annual review reports.

We are looking for someone with excellent IT skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office, as well as strong technical knowledge around pensions, investments, and IHT planning. The ideal candidate will have experience of the Pension Switch market and be able to provide a high level of technical support to our advisers and clients.

We offer a competitive salary of £35,000-£50,000 per annum, plus a range of benefits including company pension, free on-site parking, bonus scheme, private medical insurance, and 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.

Purpose of the Role

The purpose of this role is to carry out the Paraplanning duties for clients and advisers, ensuring the highest possible standard of client service and senior administrative duties.

Duties and Responsibilities

Your duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Providing vital paraplanning support to the team of wealth advisers
  • Researching products, financial planning solutions and investment strategies
  • Preparing recommendation reports for client meetings
  • Writing suitability reports/annual review reports
  • Providing a high level of technical support
  • Assisting advisers with client management
  • Providing advisers and clients with technical reports and information
  • Ensuring high worth investment transactions are carried out accurately

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone with relevant skills and experience, including:

  • Experienced with Cashcalc, X-Plan and FE Analytics is preferred but not essential
  • Experience of the Pension Switch market
  • Excellent IT skills and proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Strong technical knowledge around pensions, investments and IHT planning
  • Good communication skills

Experience and Qualifications

Experience required: 2 years Paraplanning experience. Qualifications required: Must show some CII exam results or hold Level 4 qualified in Financial Planning certificate.
