Job Title: Senior Python Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Python Developer with experience in React to join our team. This individual will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-performance applications using Python and React.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with UX/UI designers to implement design into the code
  2. Coach junior team members
  3. Manage testing and bug fixes
  4. Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
  5. Develop and maintain high-performance applications using Python and React
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement new features
  7. Write clean, maintainable, and testable code
  8. Optimise applications for maximum speed and scalability
  9. Troubleshoot and debug issues that arise in production environments
  10. Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in software development
  11. Participate in code reviews and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement
Requirements:
  1. Strong experience with Python web development, including deep understanding of Django or Flask frameworks
  2. Understanding of software development principles such as Object-Oriented Programming, Design Patterns, and Agile methodologies
  3. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  4. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  6. Excellent attitude and team working
  7. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  8. Experience with database technologies such as MySQL or PostgreSQL and associated Python ORM's is essential
  9. Familiarity with cloud technologies e.g. Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  10. Familiarity with REST API
  11. Familiarity with containers e.g. Docker
  12. Familiarity with git versioning tool
  13. Familiarity with project management tools, e.g. Jira, Linear
  14. Some experience using React would be ideal
  15. Experience using GoLang or a demonstrable willingness to learn new languages will be looked on favourably
