Job Title: Senior Python Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Python Developer to join our team at Sage City. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance applications using Python and React.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with UX/UI designers to implement design into the code
  2. Coach junior team members
  3. Manage testing and bug fixes
  4. Develop and maintain high-performance applications using Python and React
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement new features
  6. Write clean, maintainable, and testable code
  7. Optimise applications for maximum speed and scalability
  8. Troubleshoot and debug issues that arise in production environments
Requirements:
  1. Strong experience with Python web development, including deep understanding of Django or Flask frameworks
  2. Understanding of software development principles such as Object-Oriented Programming, Design Patterns, and Agile methodologies
  3. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  4. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  6. Experience with database technologies such as MySQL or PostgreSQL and associated Python ORM's is essential
  7. Familiarity with cloud technologies e.g. Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  8. Familiarity with REST API
  9. Familiarity with containers e.g. Docker
  10. Familiarity with git versioning tool
  11. Familiarity with project management tools, e.g. Jira, Linear
