About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Consultant to join our team at Shackleton Recruitment Group. As a key member of our Health and Safety Team, you will work closely with our Director of Health & Safety to develop, enhance and implement changes to our safety management system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with management to resolve health and safety matters and promote a positive health and safety culture within the workforce.
  • Provide expert health and safety advice and guidance to management and operatives, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Develop and maintain effective health and safety management systems, including procedures, manuals and construction-specific documents.
  • Design and deliver health and safety training and toolbox talks on various topics, including group health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to monitor the effectiveness of our health and safety management systems.
  • Prepare and present reports and statistics to inform our health and safety monitoring process.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in health and safety management, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with management and operatives.
  • Ability to analyze data and prepare reports to inform health and safety decision-making.
