Job Opportunity: Experienced Health and Safety Officer

We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Officer to join our team at a busy engineering site in South Leicestershire. The successful candidate will work on-site 3 days per week, handling all health and safety matters, including audits, workplace inspections, machine inspections, risk assessments, and general health and safety administration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular health and safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies
  • Develop and implement effective health and safety procedures and protocols
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on health and safety best practices
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
  • Maintain accurate records of health and safety activities and incidents
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a similar role, ideally with an engineering background
  • Local to Lutterworth/South Leicestershire, with a commitment to working on-site 3 days per week
  • Outgoing, friendly, and easy to get along with
  • Practical health and safety knowledge, with a focus on prevention rather than just compliance
