Senior Leadership Opportunity in Healthcare Services

We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic leader to join our team at North Lewisham PCN as we work together to provide at-scale local healthcare services to improve outcomes for practices and patients.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our PCN, ensuring its efficient and effective day-to-day operation while driving thoughtful long-term strategy and sustainability. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Designing, implementing, and constantly improving all PCN-led services
  • Leading on all day-to-day workstreams through smart, hard working and effective management/delegation
  • Reviewing current operations and identifying/implementing improvements (including major changes if necessary)
  • Helping our board to set a clear, strategic direction for the future
  • Working with member practices and other local stakeholders to keep objectives aligned in a constantly changing environment

This is a genuinely exciting opportunity for someone with experience leading services, to help build out an impactful at-scale healthcare service for a population of over 80,000 patients in a diverse area.

Key Details

Job Title: Strategic Healthcare Leader

Location: London (New Cross)

Remote: Mainly face-to-face required, some ability to work flexibly later

Salary: £70-100k, dependent on experience/ability

Reports to: PCN Board of Directors

Hours: Full time role (37.5 hours per week), with some flexibility required to work out of hours if needed

About You

The right candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, strong analytical thinking, and experience managing people. You'll need to be energetic, self-motivating, adaptable and resilient.

If you have healthcare or practice management experience that will be helpful, but it's not required. If you don't have this background, you'll need to be a fast learner. It is vital that you have experience leading a service and working independently as this role is one where you will be in charge of important local service provisions and relied upon by practices and patients alike.

About Us

North Lewisham PCN covers c. 80,000 patients across 9 GP surgeries in North Lewisham. We work together and with a range of local providers, to offer more personalised, coordinated health care to our local populations. We're dedicated to delivering high-quality efficient/effective care that works for our patients and practices.

We've spent the last two years building out our operations and we're now looking to think strategically and ensure our PCN has foundations that are fit for the future.
