Mitie, a leading provider of integrated facilities management services, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to lead our dynamic Projects delivery team across our two BAE customer sites in Preston.

About the Role
  • Lead a team of Project and Assistant Project Managers, delivering multiple projects for our BAE customer, and drive excellence in execution, client satisfaction, and adherence to financial and health and safety standards.
  • Plan, execute, and deliver projects on time, within scope, and within budget, managing all phases of the project lifecycle from initiation to closure.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are understood and their expectations met and exceeded.
  • Motivate project teams, fostering clear communication, effective collaboration, and high performance.
  • Implement and maintain high standards of quality in project delivery, adhering to industry best practices.
  • Identify and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring proactive problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Oversee project budgets, financial reporting, and resource allocation, ensuring that projects are financially viable and cost-effective.
  • Comply with health and safety regulations, particularly the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM), and promote a culture of safety and well-being on all projects.
  • Provide regular project updates and reports to stakeholders, maintaining transparency and accountability, and ensure meticulous project documentation.
About You
  • Hold a professional certification such as APM, RICS, CIOB, or a similar qualification.
  • Have proven experience in a multi-project environment, managing multiple clients and delivering high-quality projects.
  • Demonstrate leadership skills with the ability to take ownership of projects and drive teams towards excellence.
  • Have expertise in project administration, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Have a strong understanding of project financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Have in-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations, particularly CDM regulations, with a proven track record of promoting and ensuring workplace safety.
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
